Our Whitecaps Junior Elite  program is our program for players who want to continue towards a competitive soccer pathway. It is the next step in our Developmental Model advancing from our Junior Academy program and adding in tactical education and game play. 

For the 2023/24 Winter Season, our sessions are all Futsal Based.

The Whitecaps Junior Elite is open to players born in 2013, 2014 & 2015, 2016. In order for players to join our Junior Elite program, they will either need to be invited by Head Coach, Ariel Gitz, or complete an evaluation session to confirm proficiency. Players should be at intermediate to advanced skill for their age. If players have participated in the Junior Elite  programs in the past, they do NOT need an evaluation, they can proceed directly to registration.

NEW FOR FALL/WINTER 2023/24 - The Junior Elite program is now geared towards players who are NOT in the Whitecaps Academy Team Programs. It is a supplemental training program for players in other programs or for Whitecaps Academy Team players who wish to do another day of training

The Whitecaps Junior Elite program furthers the development of individual Ball Mastery and Dribbling. At the Junior Elite level, we continue working on 1v1 and 2v2 Attacking and Defending principles to teach players how to use their ball mastery and dribbling skills to attack as well as how to defend. The majority of development time will be spent with a ball at a players feet to further their comfort and mastery with the ball.

Players in this program will be asked to purchase a Whitecaps Academy training kit before starting the program. Once registration is received we will send a link to order training shirts, shorts and socks (Mandatory). Whitecaps Tracksuits are available, but are optional. If you had purchased the Whitecaps training kit in the fall, you do NOT need to purchase another.

All sessions will be led by the Whitecaps Okanagan Academy Head Coach, Ariel Gitz and supplemented by Whitecaps Okanagan Academy Staff

Winter Programs are offered in two segments with 2 separate registrations:

Winter 2023: October 23 - December 15

Cost: $236.25 - 8 sessions

Winter 2024 - January 8 - March 15

Cost: $279.00 - 10 sessions

U8 (2015 & 2016) - Monday - 6.00-7.00pm - Dorothea Walker Elementary

U10 (2013 & 2014) - Wednesday - 7.00-8.00pm - Casorso Elementary
